How old were you when you first watched Toy Story? I know for a lot of us, 2000s kids, this movie was the goat. Peak cinema: this movie was so good that I am convinced that most of us, deep down, cosplayed Andy and secretly hoped our toys grew alive the minute the bedroom door was closed. Toy Story had us feeling all the emotions; these characters went from animated caricatures to our personal best friends. And I know I am not the only one who wanted to belong to Woody, Jessie, and Buzz's friend group. The gang was extremely chaotic, but boy, they had fun!
I dare to say, Toy Story is one of the few Disney franchises left that continues to nail the nostalgic and innocent feeling these movies made us feel. The amount of emotions these movies had us going through was insane, given the fact that it is a Disney movie. But that is Disney's magic; it doesn't matter if you are 10, 23, or 40; they will make you bawl your eyes out and laugh uncontrollably, no matter what. I personally have seen this movie, and as the 23-year-old I am, let me tell you it did not disappoint. Suddenly, you sit there, remembering the first time you watched Buzz confidently declare himself a Space Ranger, Woody learning to share the spotlight, or the emotional rollercoaster that was saying goodbye at the end of Toy Story 3. Even Toy Story 4, which many thought would be the final chapter, left us with plenty of feelings about growing up, moving on, and finding new purposes in life. And here we are, saying goodbye to our personal best friend, Woody, on a Saturday night at your local cinema.

So grab your popcorn, maybe even your favorite childhood toy, and pay a visit to our old friends, we know better than to let them collect dust now.
